Jamie Muñoz is an artist based in Pomona, California whose work is centered around painting, drawing, ceramics, and film. Being born and raised in Southern California, he was imminently drawn to art but, as well as working in warehouse jobs, which have had a very strong influence onto his creative perspective. His work blends industrial techniques often including symbols such as grids, sparrows, butterflies, flowers, as well as cosmic imagery. Muñoz explores themes of labor, modern life, and cultural identity, encouraging viewers to sit down and ponder on the everyday experiences we share.

Muñoz earned his BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in 2016 from UCLA. His art has been shown in numerous major exhibitions, including a group show at Jeffery Deitch in Los Angeles in 2019 as well as a solo exhibition at Frieze Los Angeles in 2020. His unique style and approach to storytelling has gained recognition within the contemporary art world, making his work both visually striking and thought provoking.
